Sandy Wiggins is Principal of Consilience, LLC a national consultancy with a mission to build environmentally, socially and economically sustainable communities. His skillful facilitation has helped birth sustainable master plans for municipalities and institutional campuses as well as sustainable regional public policy initiatives. He is Past Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council, Founding Chair of the Green Building Certification Institute, and served on USGBC’s LEED for Neighborhood Development Core Committee and the LEED 2009 Executive Committee. He was also Founding Chair of the Philadelphia based Delaware Valley Green Building Council.

Sandy’s vision and leadership have been responsible for the development of dozens of LEED commercial projects and the nation’s first LEED Gold certified homes, which were also net zero energy consumers. He also works with institutional communities that are endeavoring to define and achieve sustainable operations. Current real estate projects include a net zero energy mixed use community and an environmental education campus that aspires to include the nation’s first “Living Buildings.”

Sandy is also Chairman of the newly formed e3bank, a triple bottom line bank with a mission to facilitate the transition to a green economy. He is a Director of Silpa Inc., an international green building technical services company and serves on the Advisory Board of Meidlinger Partners, a venture capital firm focused on emergent green technologies, and on the Advisory Board of the Rutgers Center for Green Building. He is also an adjunct professor in Philadelphia University’s Master of Science in Sustainable Design program and lectures on sustainable business practices and green building at the University of Pennsylvania and other educational institutions.
